Ich hab ihn!
Ich hab den Firefox 3.0 Downloaden können. Und nein es handelt sich nicht um den RC. Es ist der fertige Release! Leute die sich mit dem Switch-FTP-Mirror auskennen werden ihn schnell finden. Ich werde jetzt hier keinen Link posten, da diese downloads noch nicht für den Weltrekord zählen. Ich werde ihn dann heute abend nochmal herunterladen

Guinessbuchrekord für den Feuerfuchs!
Am 17. Juni ist es soweit! Der neue Mozila-Browser Firefox erscheint an diesem Tag in der Version 3.0. Die Macher wollen am besagten 17. Juni einen Eintrag im Guinessbook erreichen. Alles was DU tun musst, ist den neuen Browser herunter zu laden.
Das Ziel: 5 Millionen Downloads.
Der Vorgänger Firefox 2.0 hatte an seinem Veröffentlichungstag rund 1.6 Millionen downloads gezählt.
Bissher haben 1′358′990 User ihr Versprechen gegeben, dass sie den neuen Browser am Veröffentlichungstag downloaden werden.

Das geilste Browser-Plugin ever!
Ich als Fan von grafischen Effekten und Spielereien habe durch Raffaele ein super cooles Browserplugin enddeckt. Es heisst PicLens. Es stellt Bilder von diversen Seiten in einer interaktiven 3D Darstellung dar. Habs gerade installiert und mal ein bisschen mit der Google Bildersuche getestet. Es ist auch noch unglaublich Schnell. Seht euch mal das Demovideo an. Ich habs installiert und habe freude dran! Über den Sinn oder Unsinn dieses Adons kann man streiten. Aber für einen WOW-Effekt reicht es allemal. 
Diese Browser Plugin oder Adon ist für den Firefox, InternetExplorer und Safari verfügbar.
Was haltet Ihr von solchen “Spielereien”?

Proxy exceptions in Firefox and Internet Explorer
In my office I have to configure a proxy for several Browsers on different Workstations. Also I’ve to add some exceptions for the proxy. I don’t want that local IP’s passes through the proxy. So i have to add it to the exception list in the browser.
In the Internet Explorer you can use a * (star) as wildcard like this 172.17.*. But in Firefox that won’t work. In Firefox you have to add the whole Network-ID with the relevant suffix like this 172.17.0.0/16.
Examples:
You want the whole local IP-Address range in your exception list. Ask your network administrator for the IP-Configuration.
IP: 172.17.72.123
Subnet: 255.255.0.0
When you get this data from your administrator you have to enter the following in your exception list:
IE: 172.17.*
FF: 172.17.0.0/16
If you get diffrent data such as this:
IP: 192.168.0.12
Subnet: 255.255.255.0
Then enter the following in your exception list:
IE: 192.168.0.*
FF: 192.168.0.0/24
