Now you can download the short message system client for Windows XP. It’s called SMS Messiah. With SMS Messiah you can send SMS over several service providers like Swisscom Mobile or Orange. The beta version will work for swiss service providers only. International functions comes with the release in a few months.

The requirements for SMS Messiah Beta are:
- Windows XP Service Pack 2 (Vista not tested)
- Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 (In SMS Messiah Beta included)
- Microsoft Outlook 2003 (older or newer versions not tested)
- Internet connection
Short howto:
- Download SMS Messiah Beta
- Unpack the ZIP file
- Double click on setup.exe
- Follow the screen instructions
- Start SMS Messiah Beta (Start->Applications->katun.ch->SMS Messiah)
- Post the registration key as a comment with a valid e-mail address. You will get the licence file within 24 hours as e-mail.
- Save your licence file on the desktop
- In SMS Messiah click on “Open Licence File” and open it from your desktop. Now your application will be licenced.
- Now you can set up your login informations by clicking on the “Plugin Manager” button. Add or remove plugins by pressing “Add” or “Remove” button.
Important things:
- SMS Messiah will only run on one computer!
If you want a second licence, leave an other comment with the new registration key. - Leave your real name by adding a comment!
- Leave a valid e-mail address by adding a comment!

Nachdem ich bemerkt habe, dass Desktop SMS von Swisscom nicht auf die Gratis-SMS zurückgreift suche ich nach einer Möglichkeit, vom Laptop (vorerst noch WIndows) aus meine xtra-Zone SMS zu verschicken, wobei ich Dein Programm gefunden habe.
Beim Installieren trat allerdings folgender Fehler auf: Die Anwendung erfordert, dass die Assembly stdole Version 7.0.3300.0 zuerst im golbalen Assembycache (GAC) installiert wird.
Wie kann ich das Problem lösen?

Dann wird das das Problem sein. Ich habe SMS Messiah dazumals für Outlook 2003 entwickelt. Habe aber seit einigen Jahren nichts mehr daran gemacht. Schlussendlich auch weil ich keine Office 2k7 hatte.

Da gibts schon eine Lösung! Heisst XtraSMS oder so. Kostet 1.10 CHF aber ist sein Geld wert. Ich selber kann X-Tra Zone eben nicht mehr benützen.
